Job Summary: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and health and safety compliance. This role involves managing staff, optimizing financial performance, and creating a positive dining experience for customers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and properly set up for service.
  • Staff Management:
  • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
  • Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Handle employee relations, including resolving conflicts and addressing grievances.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements as needed.
  • Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage the restaurants budget and financial performance.
  • Monitor sales and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare financial reports, including sales, labor, and inventory.
  • Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Coordinate special events, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a presence on social media and other marketing channels.
  • Menu Development:
  • Collaborate with the chef/kitchen staff to develop and update the menu.
  • Ensure the menu reflects customer preferences and seasonal trends.
  • Monitor food and beverage trends to keep the menu competitive.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain necessary licenses and permits.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
