Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lanka Cook with expertise in preparing a variety of Asian dishes, including rice and curry meals, flatbreads, noodle dishes, and fusion cuisine. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ingredient handling, portion control, and cost management. Experience in UAE-based restaurants is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, including rice and curry meals, flatbreads, noodle dishes, biryanis, and fusion cuisine. Develop and maintain cost-effective recipes while ensuring quality and portion control. Monitor ingredient usage, minimize waste, and maintain strict inventory control to optimize food costs. Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality. Follow standardized recipes while also contributing creative ideas for new flavors and dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards. Assist with inventory management, supplier coordination, and stock ordering to ensure smooth operations. Train and guide junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and efficient kitchen practices.

Requirements:



Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cook in a restaurant, preferably within the UAE. Strong expertise in preparing a variety of Asian dishes. Knowledge of ingredient costing, portion control, and inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. Good organizational and time management skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Culinary certification or formal training is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
