Position Summary: We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at a health-focused restaurant. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, accuracy in handling payments, and a genuine interest in healthy eating. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in providing an enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them with questions about the menu, and provide information about healthy food options and special dietary needs.
• Transaction Handling: Process cash, credit, and digital payments accurately using a POS (point of sale) system. Issue receipts and maintain a balanced cash register.
• Order Coordination: Ensure smooth communication between customers and kitchen staff for timely, accurate order preparation.
• Upselling and Recommendations: Suggest add-ons, specials, and healthier alternatives to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the cashier station organized and clean. Assist with general restaurant tidiness as needed.
• Inventory Support: Monitor stock levels of items like bottled drinks or packaged snacks, notifying the manager of any low stock items.
• Record Keeping: Ensure accurate daily sales records and participate in end-of-day closing procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a cashier or in a customer service role (preferred)
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong math and organizational skills
• Friendly, approachable personality with a passion for health and wellness
