Job Description

We are seeking a Resident Mechanical Engineer for a reputed consultancy in Abu Dhabi to support our client, TRANSCO.

1. Engineering Process Management

• Oversee the engineering processes for all mechanical systems in substations, including Fire Fighting and HVAC systems.

2. Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate with the main contractor, consultant, and client.
• Attend coordination and project progress meetings.

3. Project and Team Leadership

• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, including people and material management.
• Lead the HVAC team within the project department.

4. Design Review and Compliance

• Review HVAC designs, including heat load calculations and technical drawings.
• Assess firefighting system designs and shop drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with IFC (Issued for Construction) standards and local authority regulations in the UAE.

5. Testing, Commissioning, and Documentation

• Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Prepare and submit project closeout documents.

6. Engineering Calculations and Technical Expertise

• Perform engineering calculations such as ESP (External Static Pressure), pump head, ventilation, pressurization, and heat load.
• Provide expertise in firefighting and HVAC systems.

7. MEP Coordination

• Review and approve MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) coordination and modular drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical, civil, architectural, and structural disciplines to ensure seamless integration.

8. Material and Document Approvals

• Review and approve material submittals, engineering drawings, and calculations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED16,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Substation: 10 years (Preferred)
