Job Overview:

The Reservations Agent is responsible for handling all reservation inquiries and processing bookings for the company. This role involves assisting customers via phone, email, and online channels, ensuring that bookings are made accurately and efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to reservation inquiries from customers via phone, email, and other communication channels. Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations in the reservation system. Provide information on room availability, pricing, services, and promotions. Communicate booking confirmations and ensure all customer details are accurately recorded. Handle customer queries and resolve issues related to bookings, preferences, and requests. Work closely with the front desk and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of guest reservations. Monitor and maintain booking records to prevent overbooking and manage inventory. Assist with managing special requests, such as room preferences, accessibility needs, or specific customer inquiries. Stay updated on hotel or company policies, rates, and promotions to effectively communicate with customers. Assist in preparing reports related to bookings and reservations statistics. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a reservations or customer service role preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using reservation software and computer systems. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Customer-oriented with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Knowledge of the local area, services, and facilities is a plus. Fluency in additional languages may be an advantage, depending on the employer's needs.
