: Reservation Officer for Travel Agency Position Title: Reservation Officer Reports To: Reservation Manager / Travel Agency Manager Location: Ras Al Khaima, UAE Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time NATIONALITY: PHILIPINES Job Overview: As a Reservation Officer for a travel agency, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their travel plans and ensuring a seamless booking experience. This role involves interacting with customers, handling inquiries, making reservations, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist clients in person, over the phone, and via email. Address customer inquiries regarding travel plans, itineraries, and reservations. Provide information on travel destinations, accommodation options, and transportation services.
Booking and Reservations:
Make reservations for flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and other travel services. Ensure all reservations are accurately entered into the booking system. Confirm bookings and communicate details to clients.
Itinerary Planning:
Assist clients in planning detailed travel itineraries. Provide recommendations on travel destinations, activities, and local attractions.
Sales and Promotions:
Promote travel packages, special deals, and seasonal offers to clients. Upsell additional travel services and products.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain organized records of bookings, payments, and client interactions. Process payments and issue invoices and receipts. Handle changes, cancellations, and refunds according to company policies.
Problem Solving:
Resolve any issues or complaints regarding reservations or travel arrangements. Coordinate with travel service providers to address and rectify problems.
Market Research:
Stay updated on travel trends, destination news, and changes in the travel industry. Gather feedback from clients to improve service offerings. Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in a travel agency or similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
