Job Description

The Electrical and Communication Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant (post-doctor) in the area of High Frequency Meta-Material and Meta-Surfaces. The research assistant should be knowledgeable of designing and analyzing metamaterial and meta-surfaces and applications to devices design. The preferred candidate should have experience in conducting measurements. Preferred is a candidate with a PhD qualification, or a master's degree with good experience in the relevant field. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in the both field biology and nanotechnology and have a master degree in relevant field.



Minimum Qualification



An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following: o Skilled high frequency design software (HFSS) and AWR o Ability to synthesize and characterize metamaterial and meta surfaces. o Good technical writing skills o Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.



Preferred Qualification



• o Command of material preparation o Command of Electromagnetic software such as HFSS, ADS and AWR o Command of vector network analyzer capabilities and features o Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace o Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab o Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands
