A Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University with Assistant Professor Mohammed Alkuwaiti. The successful candidate will primarily be engaged in several projects in the field of stroke including investigating the influence of glucose control in stroke patients outcomes through a retrospective study design, assessing the risk factors for stroke in United Arab emirates population using electronic medical records data and patients bedside survey. The primary responsibility of the successful candidate involves the abstraction of clinical and investigational data from relevant electronic medical records and preform bedside surveys. The position is for an enthusiastic research assistant with interest in pursuing research-oriented career, and who can work with minimal supervision. MSc candidates and/or graduates will be preferred. HAAD license as healthcare professional is also desirable. Candidates with prior experience in research, particularly data abstraction from medical records in SEHA, will be preferred. HAAD license as healthcare professional is also desirable. The successful candidate will also be responsible for day-to-day logistics of the research project including preparing and maintaining detailed records, logs and summary reports of all research findings.Minimum QualificationThe applicant must have either an MD degree (or MBBCh) or a BSc degree in a clinical health sciences discipline.Preferred Qualification
