:Parsons is looking for a Requirements and Configuration Manager who will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in managing the requirements and configuration processes on a large rail program. This role involves working closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are accurately captured, documented, and managed throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the Requirements and Configuration Manager oversees the configuration management processes to ensure that all project deliverables are consistent, traceable, and controlled. This position requires a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices, as well as the ability to provide strategic advice and solutions to clients.In this role you will get to provide technical direction for various phases of a significant rail and transit program to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.What You'll Be Doing:
Experience leading Systems Engineering activities in accordance with ISO/IEC 15288.
Understanding of Systems Assurance processes and requirements (i.e. EN 50126/8/9)
Extensive experience of requirements management and configuration management tools (i.e. DOORS/DNG, Comply Pro 2) and processes.
Experience of identifying, eliciting, deriving, levelling, apportioning and managing SMART requirements
Ensure that requirements and configuration management processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Develop customized requirements and configuration management plans tailored to the specific needs of the Client.
Facilitate the capture, documentation, and validation of project requirements from clients and stakeholders.
Maintain a requirements traceability matrix to track the status and fulfillment of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct requirements reviews and approvals with clients and project stakeholders.
Ensure that changes to requirements are properly managed and communicated to all relevant parties.
Establish and maintain a configuration management system to control project documents, designs, and deliverables.
Ensure that all project configurations are documented, tracked, and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct configuration audits to verify that project deliverables meet specified requirements and standards.
Manage the configuration change control process, including the evaluation and approval of change requests.
Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to requirements and configuration management.
Generate regular reports on the status of requirements and configuration management activities for clients and project stakeholders.
Facilitate communication and coordination between different project teams to ensure alignment on requirements and configurations.
Provide training and support to client project teams on requirements and configuration management processes and tools.
Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure the quality and accuracy of requirements and configuration management activities.
Identify and implement improvements to requirements and configuration management processes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in requirements and configuration management within the rail or transportation industry.
Proficiency in requirements management and configuration management tools and software.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to requirements and configuration management
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
GCC experience is preferred.
Experience on large Rail Infrastructure program is a must.
Must have experience in Client Interfacing roles or a Consultancy role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with systems engineering principles and practices.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
