Up-to-date proficient Scrub skills for high-volume cataract surgery.
Undertaking duties as assembling, checking, preparing, and coordinating the use of surgical equipment, and consumables for Ophthalmology procedures.
Ability to set up for vitrectomy surgery.
Full understanding of Phaco Machines/Instrumentation and set up.
Full knowledge of the eye and understanding of Biometry/Lens bank/Implants.
Ability to support the surgeon in anticipating any potential problems in theatre.
Working as part of a theatre team.
To accurately record patient history relevant to the clinic.
To perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures and clinical assessments in order to provide the Consultant with the relevant information for diagnosis and treatment.
To advise patients on the appropriate care for their eye conditions.
Requirements:
Degree or Equivalent in Nursing: Your qualifications are your passport to a rewarding career.
Hospital Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting ensures you're ready to hit the ground running.
IELTS or OET: If applicable, we require proof of your language proficiency.
Theatre training /substantive experience required.
3 years or more hospital eye service experience expected.
Biometry/Corneal Topography/ OCT/ FFA/ IOP.
Intermediate Life Support training.
