You are a leader of post-acute and rehabilitation services providing exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes across the MENA region.Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficient in Oral and Written English
  • Patient care, medical and support services
  • Highly flexible, self-motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic
  • With interpersonal skills and strong moral and ethics
  • With valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Demonstrates quantitative skills
Education & Qualifications:
  • MD/MBBS from accredited university
  • Specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • A formal residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • A fellowship in rehabilitation for a minimum of one year.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a collaborative team member providing rehabilitation services in an inpatient rehabilitation program.
  • Successful completion of specialty training in SCFHS Consultant in Saudi Arabia. With valid Saudi Council Certificate from SCFHS.
  • Has more than 2 years' experience in leadership
Description
In this role, you will be responsible for conveying a passion for building the programmatic vision and for articulating and communicating it broadly. You will also be tasked with implementing the mission, vision, and values of the hospital in alignment with its strategic objectives.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Quality:
  • Oversight of inpatient's rehabilitation quality program including rehabilitation processes, patient safety, outcomes, satisfaction & safe environment of care.
  • Establish a robust system for practice review and practice development.
  • Develop and conduct a systematic review of the quality of Inpatient rehabilitation services in relation to the established standards.
  • To make recommendations regarding corrective actions in relation to identified problems and evaluates their effectiveness through further review.
  • Ensure the impatient rehabilitation program follows regulatory and accreditation requirements (CBAHI, CARF, JHAH, JCI and other related
  • accreditations.
  • Fosters an environment of continuous improvement through use of Continuous Quality Improvement and Lean principles.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Establish and review the program's policies and procedures.
  • Operations:
  • Oversees the inpatient rehabilitation program related operations. Develops and manages the Inpatient rehabilitation Service against a set of medical & rehabilitation standards and financial outcomes that reflect optimal performance and are consistent with standards and expectations.
  • Directs Inpatient rehabilitation program strategy and service development including assessment and reassessment of patient, referrer, managed care/payor expectations, Barrier identification, goals identification and program implementation.
  • Ensures appropriate structure of inpatient rehabilitation program including the development and implementation of medical rehab protocols, performance standards, and policies.
  • Ensures competencies and other specialized skills of the staff within the inpatient rehabilitation Service.
  • Initiate any investigation into the performance or conduct of the Inpatient rehabilitation Staff where there may be cause for concern.
  • Support the hospital Medical Director to enforce Medical Staff By-Laws, Rules and Regulations.
  • Formulate and recommend:
  • Professional education requirements for inpatient rehabilitation Program
  • Medical coverage requirements (including on call coverage) inpatient rehabilitation Program
  • Teaching responsibilities
  • Committee assignments
  • Department and unit rules and regulations
  • Attendance requirements
  • Residence and response time requirements
  • The authority to use outside consultants when performing peer review activities.
  • Demonstrate active learning and involvement through participation in fellowships, certification in subspecialties, active participation in physician professional special interest groups, board membership or involvement in consumer advocacy groups, and integration of evidence-based practices and medical advances relevant to the population served.
  • Demonstrates currency in medical practice concerning the persons served.
  • Demonstrates active learning and involvement in the professional community
  • Participates in Advocacy activities.
  • Ensure efficient Resource utilization.
  • Manage Stakeholder relationship including development of and participation with stakeholders of the program, such as the leadership of insurance companies, referring physicians and other referral sources.
  • Participates in Strategic planning for inpatient program in coordination with Medical Director.
  • Participates Financial planning and decision making for inpatient program in coordination with Medical Director
  • Marketing:
  • Participates in Marketing and promotion activities of the inpatient rehabilitation program
  • Science, Academics, And Research:
  • Maintain active educational culture.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with the medical community.
  • Participates in educational activities with the program personnel.
  • Practicing Physician:
  • Serves as a practicing physician and provides medical leadership to the inpatient rehabilitation interdisciplinary team of physicians, nursing, and allied health staff.
  • Ensures the appropriateness and effectiveness of the inpatient rehabilitation treatment plan and collaborates with the team to resolve complex medical problems.
  • Participates in active clinical practice that relates to the population served
  • Ensuring the adequacy of individual treatment prescriptions and programs, including notations of contraindications and precautions, developed with the participation of professional personnel.
  • Actively participates in assigned clinical & medical committees.
