Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Care:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health histories, vital signs, and physical conditions during appointments.

Provide direct patient care by administering medications, performing routine screenings, and assisting with medical procedures.

Prepare patients for examination, treatments, and diagnostic tests.

Document all assessments, treatments, and patient progress in electronic health records (EHR).

• Clinical Procedures:

Assist physicians during medical procedures such as minor surgeries, injections, or wound care.

Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol), draw blood, and collect lab specimens.

Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care to patients as directed.

• Patient Education and Support:

Educate patients on health conditions, treatments, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications.

Offer guidance on managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension, and provide resources for follow-up care.

Support patients and their families emotionally by addressing concerns and explaining procedures in an easy-to-understand manner.

• Collaboration with Healthcare Providers:

Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.

Communicate patient concerns, progress, and treatment plans with the healthcare team.

Coordinate care with other clinic staff, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and continuous services.

• Administrative and Documentation Duties:

Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Ensure proper documentation of medications administered, procedures performed, and patient interactions.

Update patient records and review medical history during patient visits to track progress and identify any changes in care needs.

• Patient Safety and Infection Control:

Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all patients.

Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in the clinic setting.

Monitor and ensure compliance with clinic safety policies, including sterilization procedures and waste disposal.

• Patient Scheduling and Coordination:

Assist in scheduling patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to specialists or other departments.

Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely care, minimizing patient wait times.

Prepare patient care areas for appointments and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for use.

• Emergency Response:

Provide emergency care, including basic life support (BLS) in the event of patient crises or complications.

Ensure emergency equipment (e.g., defibrillators, oxygen) is well-maintained and available for immediate use.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in a nursing role, preferably in a healthcare facility or clinic.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from a recognized health authority in the UAE: Dubai Health Authority (DHA) , Abu Dhabi Health Authority (DOH) , Sharjah Health Authority (SHS) , or Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) .
• Knowledge of medical procedures, diagnostic tests, and patient care protocols.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• BLS and CPR certification required. ACLS or additional certifications may be preferred.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Experience in a specific clinic specialty (e.g., pediatrics, family medicine, dermatology, dental etc.).
• Strong patient advocacy skills, with a focus on improving patient experience and outcomes.
• Experience with patient education on preventive care, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive patient information in a confidential manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
