:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs medication appropriateness review and follow the ten rights of medication administration
Demonstrates competency in performing intramuscular and intravenous medication administration as per the medical drug policies.
Do patient assessment of the patient before giving and after giving medication.
Monitor the patient for side effects of administered medication and educate the patient regarding the medication indication, side effects and possible complications.
Performs minor procedure including suture removal, wound care, nebulization, blood glucose monitoring, spirometry, oxygen administration and ECG.
Complies with aseptic technique upon doing procedure.
Supervising novice nurses in performing triage, dressing, blood glucose monitoring and other nursing related procedures.
Demonstrates professional behavior in providing nursing care and ensures maintaining of nursing standards.
Demonstrates competency in nursing documentation and nursing process.
Identifies and implements health promotion strategies for early detection and screening for communicable diseases.
Identifies scientific advances and uses technology as appropriate to enhance patient care.
Demonstrates the ability to self-regulate through ongoing reflection and assessment of competency to practice.
Competent with cardio-pulmonary resuscitation technique.
Complies with established Nursing Department Policies and Procedures.
Maintains and updates all relevant patient documentations/medical records as per hospital policy and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of patient\'s records.
Assess the patient and family education needs and provide health education.
Demonstrate awareness of fire safety, patient safety, infection control and the other necessary precautions as per hospital policy.
Takes responsibility for the ward/unit in the absence of the head nurse as assigned by the nursing administration.
Takes responsibility for professional clinical practice and is actively involved in updating and continuing education.
Attends and participates in Ward/Unit meetings.
Participates in performance improvement activities within nursing department

Qualifications:QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing.
Current license in country of origin and with DOH license
2 years nursing experience after qualification.
Good English spoken & written, Arabic language is essential
