Job description
The Registered Nurse will provide general nursing to include but not limited to:
Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions to the Clinical Manager and other members of the multi-disciplinary health team, as is appropriate.
The registered nurse is expected to be competent and skilled in providing: Wound care, tracheostomy and peg tube care, personal hygiene care including continence management, Urinary catheter insertion - both male and female, IV cannulation and infusion phlebotomy and taking vital signs.
To administer medications as prescribed by a physician and understand the possible side effects and adverse reactions. To adhere to the 5 rights of administering medications; Right route, Right time, Right dose, Right patient, Right drug, Right documentation and be competent at administering by all routes; Oral, IV, PR, PV, Subcutaneously, Intramuscular, sublingual and topically.
Competent in managing Diabetic patients and possible adverse events of diabetes.
Communication: Able to communicate effectively with clients and all EHN staff in an appropriate manner that is relevant to the situation. Communicate and fully explain procedures to a client or reporting changes and sharing information with the client. Able to improve and maintain effective communication through the use of proper skills which could include - listening skills, verbal/non-verbal skills and questioning skills.
Supervise and Monitor the safety of children in your care. Provide childcare by assisting with hygiene, feeding and playtime activities. This could include preparing and cooking food for the client/child only.
Provide emotional support and companionship for patients.
Accurately complete all nursing records as per DHA requirements. Ensure that the client has received a copy of the Home Care consent form and it is signed with a copy secured in the EHN office.
Respect confidentiality of patient information by ensuring that nursing documents and conversations pertaining to patient care are secure.
Assist in providing a clean & safe care environment. This includes placing dirty laundry in the appropriate place, washing any household goods that has been used.
Adhere to EHN Infection Control Policies and Procedures at all times.
Adhere to EHN Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Report all incidents/concerns to the Clinical Manager as soon as possible and complete incident report form.
Take responsibility for own developmental learning and performance. Complete CMEs to maintain DHA license.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Adhere to EHN Nursing responsibilities at all times.
Attend all mandatory training as scheduled.
Essential Education & Experience
Current DHA License
BSc Nursing degree or Diploma in Nursing.
2 years continuous hospital experience in Home country.
Valid registration/license in country of graduation.
Valid Good standing certificate from previous employer/licensing body.
All educational certificates attested.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
