Job Summary

Provide first aid or emergency care to sick or injured children (and staff if necessary)
Assist Nursery Doctor in conducting medical examination of the children
Assess children to detect early signs and symptoms of health problems
Record daily temperatures of students
Provide lists of allergies to all staff and ensure a list is displayed in each room & outdoors
Monitor and maintain growth and development of children on a regular basis
Administer nursing care appropriate to the identified nursing needs of the children
Plan, implement and evaluate health education program for children i.e \'Healthy Eating Plan\'
Maintain and submit required records and reports as per MOE guidelines
Maintain order and cleanliness in the medical room
Maintain medical files, incident and accident files clearly and accurately
Prepare and maintain an Infectious Disease Flow Chart & display appropriately
Assist the teacher in the classrooms, especially the Baby Section, and with the younger aged children (in a similar role to the Classroom Assistants)
If required, will assist the nursery by \'manning\' reception (especially during extended day care)
Lead staff training with Health & Safety / First Aid / Nutrition and other topics pertaining to medical expertise
Direct and support Classroom Assistants with best practice of both personal & bathroom hygiene
