Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical team at Al Taie Center Clinic in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) standards, and work collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare professionals to promote a safe and comfortable environment for patients. You will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services and ensuring the well-being of patients across various medical specialties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care:
• Provide professional nursing care to patients, including medical assessments, administering medications, and performing treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, symptoms, and medical conditions, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Prepare patients for medical procedures, surgeries, or diagnostic tests, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
• Medical Procedures & Treatments:
• Assist doctors during medical examinations, minor surgeries, and other procedures.
• Administer injections, vaccinations, IV infusions, and medications as required.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and monitor post-surgical or injury recovery as per clinic protocols.
• Patient Education & Support:
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, prescribed treatments, medication management, and post-care instructions.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families during challenging times.
• Encourage patients to follow healthy lifestyle practices and comply with their treatment plans.
• Record Keeping & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and DOH requirements.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling medical information.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation needed for regulatory bodies and internal audits.
• Infection Control & Safety:
• Ensure that clinic areas are clean, hygienic, and safe by adhering to infection control practices and procedures.
• Sterilize medical instruments, dispose of medical waste safely, and follow protocols to prevent contamination or infection.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives, including emergency preparedness drills.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with physicians, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of daily clinical activities.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care.
• Attend regular staff meetings, contribute to case discussions, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with DOH standards, MOH (Ministry of Health) regulations, and other healthcare laws and guidelines relevant to nursing practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Assist with preparing and submitting DOH licensing documentation as needed for clinical audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Valid DOH / HAAD license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice as a Registered Nurse in Abu Dhabi.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience , preferably in a clinic or outpatient setting.
• Thorough knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations , DOH standards, and clinical protocols.
• Proficient in English (oral and written); Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Excellent patient care , communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of infection control procedures, patient safety protocols, and medical equipment handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural healthcare environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are highly preferred.
