Job Description

:The Regional Senior Manager- Patient Safety and Quality is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving and overseeing the quality improvement initiatives and processes across a defined geographic region or service lies of NMC Healthcare. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives of the department, while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for NMC Healthcare. The Regional Senior Manager- Patient Safety and Quality works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities of Quality - Patient Safety across the region or service lines. The Regional Senior Manager- Patient Safety and Quality serves as the programmatic and operational leader for Quality - Patient Safety and is responsible to the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer and works closely with NMC Healthcare employees and leaders.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional quality improvement strategy, objectives, and goals aligned with the organization\'s mission, vision, and values.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish quality improvement goals and objectives that support the region\'s healthcare delivery excellence.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to quality metrics, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay abreast of healthcare regulations, standards, and guidelines at the regional, national, and international levels.
  • Ensure that all healthcare facilities and services within the region adhere to relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams in the design and execution of quality improvement projects, including accreditation and Center of Excellence projects, aiming to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and patient experience.
  • Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement frameworks to drive sustainable change.
  • Collaborate with healthcare facility leaders, medical staff, nursing teams, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement and initiate action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of healthcare facilities, processes, and practices to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, improvement initiatives, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Communicate successes, challenges, and progress in quality improvement efforts to inspire continuous engagement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to quality improvement teams and staff within the region.
Qualifications:
  • Master\'s degree in healthcare administration, public health, quality management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare quality improvement, with a proven track record of successful leadership in a regional or similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations of UAE, applicable regional standards, and JCI accreditation processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills that inspire innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to quality excellence.
  • Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality - CPHQ), Certified Patient Safety are preferred.
