Duties
----------


Incumbent performs inspections, installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair of unclassified technical security, counterterrorism, and life-safety equipment deployed by Diplomatic Security (DS) at U.S. diplomatic missions overseas. Studies and make recommendations for ways to improve the effectiveness of the security systems at U.S. diplomatic missions in the Engineering Services Center (ESC) Dubai including constituent posts.

Requirements:
Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE nationals, the Mission assists in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE. Refer to Eligibility Question #2 and Vacancy Question #1: If a non-UAE national has a valid UAE residency visa, they should answer Yes to Eligibility Q#2 and Vacancy Q#1 and attach a copy of residency visa.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of hands-on field experience in major repairs and installation of electrical and heavy-duty mechanical equipment, CCTV, public address, AVBCS, reading and interpreting architectural and engineering design drawings is required.


Education Requirements:
Completion of high school in addition to two (2) years of apprenticeship or an advanced equivalent local level of occupational training as technician, electrician, or mechanic is required.

English level III (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. "This may be tested"



Additional skills test may be required.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
