Read more: .The primary role of the Regional Medical Engagement Lead (rMEL) is to engage in meaningful peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare system National and international Thought Leaders (NTLs/ITLs) within a defined geography of the TIMER region for pipeline assets, as agreed by TIMER LT. Initial scope will be focused on advanced oncological assets and pipeline such as (CAR T, CelMods etc) and will be extended to other therapy areas in future as the need arise. The rMEL for TIMER will be responsible to prepare the markets within the TIMER region for the successful launch of these pipeline assets, starting as early as T-48 \xe2\x80\x93 T-36The rMEL conducts critical activities that support advancing science, educating on evolving clinical practices, transforming science into patient care, and facilitating the development of new research collaborations (including Investigator initiated research and real-world evidence)The role collaborates with colleagues in each market within the TIMER region on capturing medical insights and acts as a therapeutic area resource to cross-functional partners. Engagement with NTLs/ITLs should be aligned with local medical strategies, and the role should provide insight back to local market to inform strategy.This role is field-based and regional in scope. It is anticipated that the employee will spend ~ 75- 80% of the time in the field interacting with external stakeholders, including investigators and clinical thought leaders while supporting internal stakeholders and maintaining a high level of therapeutic expertise. Must have 40-60 Thought leaders from the region on plan for regular scientific exchange and interaction. Will be a member of regional medical leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesEngaging in high-quality peer-to-peer scientific dialog with key National thought leaders within TIMER region for pipeline assets as identified by TIMER LT on pre- and peri-launch period.Medical Strategy Advisory: - Collaborates with NTLs/ITLs within TIMER region to identify and generate insights on evolving care paradigms to inform medical strategy.- Provides strategic input into materials for national medical congresses. Collects meaningful medical insights and communicates to support strategy development and business decisions.Evidence facilitation- Facilitates scientific partnerships and research collaborations in collaboration with the Global Drug Development team.- Provides recommendations and insights to the clinical development team on study feasibilities within the therapeutic area based on knowledge of the field and through direct contacts with potential investigators, as agreed with local medical team and Global Drug Development Organisation.- Proactively leads BMS major evidence readouts to investigators partnering with Global Drug Development. Reactively discuss major evidence readouts with other thought-leaders.- Liaises with large key accounts to understand clinical levers and barriers to patient access in the context of clinical trials.Medical engagement:- Effectively collaborates and communicates with National / international Thought Leaders to gain insights into the clinical landscape.- Engages in scientific and clinical conversation to ensure the development of a product/disease area-focused medical plan that translates into effective launch and Life Cycle Management activities.- Engages with medical societies, Patient Advocyc Groups , and guideline discussions as appropriate.- Engage account-level decision makers in selected accounts to help identify barriers and solutions to improve patient care and outcomes.Required Qualifications & Experience- Preferably a medical doctor (MD) with rich experience in desired specialties recruited from top clinical practice, Pharma and/or hospital-academic centers or PhD with a very strong external profile.Experience in the region working with National / international level thought leaders in the specialty area of interest.- Proven track record of developing high impact peer-to-peer engagement and influence with high impact NTLs / ITLs- Strong knowledge of BMS pipeline and experience in key therapy areas required:
