You will collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and vendors to ensure the efficient performance, maintenance, and operations of all engineering systems within client-owned properties. This role demands a strong background in engineering management, exceptional leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach to service delivery.What The Job Involves
Manage and oversee the engineering operations of assigned properties within the region, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company / client procedures.
Manage internal and external service level agreements and Key Performance Indicators to ensure contractual obligations are met or exceed. Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their day-to-day activities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on engineering-related matters and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery. Ensure consistency of delivery across all markets as it relates to JLLs & client engineering standards and operational delivery by supply chain. Ensuring teams leverage data to drive service delivery excellence. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including property managers, vendors, and contractors, to ensure seamless operations and the timely completion of projects. Collaborate with wider JLL engineering network to transfer knowledge relating to industry best practice, risk identification and lessons learned.
Accountability and control of engineering budgetary targets, ensuring financial objectives are met while demonstrating a strong understanding of engineering cost drivers. Lead regional life cycle planning and asset validation programme.
Lead regional risk identification & communication programme as it relates to Engineering delivery (Operational Risk Advisory - ORA) Ensure full compliance with health & safety and engineering standards across all properties, promoting a culture of safety and leading the investigation of incidents in collaboration with other key stakeholders & client teams.
Oversee and co-ordinate incident management response, investigation and governance process in collaboration with other key stakeholders & client teams.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting engineering operations, contributing to the development of innovative solutions to drive operational excellence and cost optimisation.
Provide regular performance updates, reports, and recommendations to senior management, detailing operational achievements, challenges, and improvement initiatives. Work with the Regional and Global sustainability team to identify and coordinate sustainability best practices and innovation across the region as applicable.
Drive innovation to deliver cost optimization and deliver improvement strategies using quantifiable data driven information from all available sources.
Proactively communicate with the client community to build and maintain relationships and work with key business partners and cross functional groups.
Chair and lead change request meetings relating to the critical maintenance programme with key client stakeholders & JLL operational teams.
Establish and lead monthly engineering forum with key client stakeholders and JLL and key supplier operational teams.
Lead sourcing in the area of regional contracts for technical products or services.
Support JLL and clients business pursuits Work collaboratively across multiple service verticals (operations, small projects etc.) to ensure engineering and sustainability core principles are considered and embedded throughout the lifecycle of works.
Oversee and manage relevant elements of JLLs & clients engineering assurance programmes
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical, or related field) or related professional Experience.
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in engineering management, preferably in the real estate or facility management industry.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems.
Comprehensive understanding of local regulations, codes, and standards governing engineering operations in MENAT.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication, report writing and negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Proficiency in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems.
Professional certifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) or similar are highly desirable.
