:POSITION SUMMARY Position Title: Kids Club Attendant Department: Spa and Recreation Grade: 5 Reports To: Spa and Recreation Manager Staff reporting to: Beach & Recreation Manager Approval & Date: January 01, 2018 General Purpose of Job: To provide safe atmosphere for Kids club users, Ensures the cleanliness, set -up and safety of all areas and services of Kids Club operation. 1. Basic Function:
To provide a safe playing atmosphere to the Kids club children and other guests accessing Kids Club. Ensures cleanliness, set -up and safety of all areas and facilities and attend to all guests needs within the Spa and Recreation Department, more specifically for Kids Club where the main job role is involved.
2. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goal
Responsible for all Kids club, camps, Events and Animation activities for Recreation. Plan and implement activities to entertain the guests.
Be knowledgeable with facilities, activities, equipment, services and other pertinent information in order to provide guest with accurate information
Maintain set-up and cleanliness of the department and report maintenance issues. Make sure, kids club area, furniture, toys and playground, Kids club pool and its pool area is always in good condition and clean whenever is required.
Maintain the kids club supplies and arts & crafts items. Control the cost of expenses.
Ensure guest's amenities are always readily available. Conduct daily inspections of the area to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Be flexible to work during busy days, weekends and Public holidays.
Ensure to provide uncompromised safety to the children, which is the prime responsibility on this job role. Follow all implemented work practices for guests sign in and sign outs for kids club registration.
Apply correct charges to guests and visitors where applicable for use of the facilities and services
Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any problems.
Perform any duty as directed by the Manager, but not just limited with the kids club
Greet and escort guests always and be able to work under pressure.
Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
Being attentive to Guests and kind to all children and Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests
Anticipate Guests needs and maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience
Demonstrating a 'service' attitude and Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
Specific Job Abilities
Must be able to speak, write and converse freely in English and to speak in one additional language
Must be able to have full knowledge of the Hotel surrounding areas
Must be able to stand 8hrs a day while maintaining a smile and positive attitude
Key Relationships:
Ensure full liaison with other members of the team
Strong communication with other departments
Strong relationship with guests and internal customers
In this role, you will impact the company strategy as follows:
Daily data collection and reporting of issues as they arise
Completion of Progress Training & participation in Progress related activities
Support of Departmental objectives
Assist in reduction of service recovery costs - Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
Attend minimum of 2 appraisals per year
Participation in Departmental meetings

Operate all equipment as per the operating guidelines. Have full knowledge of the hotel safety and emergency procedures. Comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire, health and safety, hygiene, licensing and employment. Adhere to the hotel rules at all times. 6. Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAble to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must possess computer skills. Ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer. Working knowledge of state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, workers' compensation, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.GroomingMust maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.EducationCollege degree is a must. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.ExperienceMin of 2-3 years' experience in job related positions. Prior hotel and/or job related experience is preferred.7.
