We are looking for an experienced Recreation Attendant (desert adventure) to join our guest experience team at Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The Recreation Attendant (Guest Experience) will manage and ensuring that every guest has a memorable and exceptional Recreational experience as well as assisting their F&B and Guest Service needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing programs and activities to meet the needs of the community.
Interact and educate guests about the heritage site, its history, and the importance in the community.
Organize and lead guided nature walks, hikes, and desert adventure activities, emphasizing eco-conscious behaviour and respect for the environment.
Supervise and ensure the safety of adventure activities like rock climbing, camel riding, biking, and off-road tours.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and protect the environment.
Maintain and oversee the rental and use of recreational equipment, ensuring its safety and sustainability.
Manage available resources responsibly, including water, energy, and waste management.
Guest Experience
Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanour upon arrival.
Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
Provide information about the retreat, desert activities and eco-friendly initiatives.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concern promptly and professionally.
Maintain a deep understanding of the retreat\'s amenities, services, and offerings.
Assist guest in arranging activities, tours, and transportation.
Assist guest with their overall F&B needs such as menu selections, setting up table and dining service.
Provide support to the guest during recreational activities, addressing any questions or concerns.
Plan and organize a variety of recreational activities.
Accommodate guest request for specific activities or time slot to the best of the ability.
Lead activities, ensuring guest safety and enjoyment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1-2 years industry experience in hospitality industry, highly in outdoor recreational activities.
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service or related fields is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of reservation system and guest check-in/check-out process is a plus.
Understanding of dietary restriction and food safety practices
Physical stamina is significant.
Cash handling and cashiering experience is an advantage
