Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our members and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Front Desk Operations: Greet members and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, manage check-ins and check-outs, and handle inquiries both in person and over the phone.
• Member Services: Provide information about gym services, class schedules, membership options, and promotional offers. Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.
• Customer Journey: Conduct tours of the gym for potential members, explaining all services, classes, and promotions in an engaging and efficient sales manner. Ensure visitors understand the benefits of membership and the variety of programs available.
• Follow-Up: Proactively follow up with prospective clients after their initial visit to address any inquiries, provide additional information, and encourage them to try our gym or purchase a service. Maintain regular communication until a decision is made.
• Administrative Support: Maintain an organized and clean front desk area. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments for rehabilitation sessions and other classes.
• Financial Transactions: Process payments for memberships, classes, and merchandise. Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely.
• Communication: Relay important information to members and staff, including class updates, schedule changes, and upcoming events. Manage email and phone communications efficiently.
• Sales Support: Assist in promoting and selling gym services, class packages, and merchandise. Provide information on current promotions and encourage participation in events and programs.
• Customer Feedback: Collect and report member feedback to management to help improve services and member satisfaction.
• Issue Resolution: Handle member issues and complaints efficiently and with empathy, demonstrating strong people skills and emotional intelligence.
Qualifications
• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a fitness or wellness environment.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with administrative applications such as GymMaster or similar systems. Strong email writing skills.
• People Skills: Ability to handle situations, issues, and complaints efficiently and with empathy. Good emotional intelligence to manage interactions positively and professionally.
• Personal Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications in customer service or administration are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
