Real Estate Accountant

Job Description

Accountant required for a real estate company in Sharjah with real estate experience.

Responsibilities: -

1- Handling tenants accounts and updating the system on daily basis.

- Ledger updating.

- Reconcile tenant debit account with physical returned cheque and make sure all debit balance of tenant is covered with returned cheque or police case acknowledgment.

- Reconciling bounced cheques report, vacant flat report and outstanding dues from tenants.

- Follow up returned/ bounced cheques payment of tenants until receipt of the amount.

- Prepare list of returned cheques outstanding and submit to Manager and collection in Charge.

- Overall control and supervision of day-to-day functions of accounts Dept. related to tenant account.

- Make sure PDC cheques are cleared on due date and returned cheques are collected from bank and updated in system and to have proper control on original cheques and follow up for outstanding.

- Finalizing monthly income statement, trial balance and balance sheet and related reports.

- In charge for Accounts payable (checking and monitor all bills and payments).

- Reconciliation of outstanding report / bounced cheque report with tenant ledger balance in system and finalizing.

2. Bank Reconciliation: -

- Collect from banks all statement of account and reconcile daily deposits of cash and cheques.

- If any cheque returned shown in statement, then arrange to collect form bank on same day.

- Debit the tenant account and update statement for returned cheque.

- Check the list of PDC cheque to be realized from bank and make sure cheque on due date.

- If any cheque not shown in bank statement call the bank and clarify and finalize.

- Prepare list of returned cheques outstanding and submit to Manager and Collection in Charge.

3. Attending incoming messages, filing and scanning all daily vouchers and documents

- Timely attending of all emails / messages and ensure to report any unattended email to in charge / HOD for further action.

- Day to day filing and scanning all vouchers, bills, as per the above job specifications

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accounting: 2 years (Required)
