RINA is currently recruiting for a Railway RAMS Manager to join its office in Abu Dhabi within the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

RINA is seeking a Railway RAMS Manager to be based in UAE, available for traveling in all GCC countries, to be included in the Overall System Engineering Organization of a paramount Railway Project in the GCC region.


The key focus of the role is to manage the overall integrated RAM and Safety Management Process throughout the whole lifecycle of the Project. Under the guidance of the System Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will manage the processes related to RAM Management and Safety Management , coordinating a team of dedicated professionals based in different RINA offices (India, Turkey, Abu Dhabi).


The role requires a full-time presence in the Project Offices, which will be based in UAE and Oman (only in the last phase of the Testing and Commissioning activities). The project duration is approximately 4 years .


The Candidate shall have a background in Railways/Metro/LRT System Engineering with particular reference to RAM and Safety. He/she must have covered a similar role in a Railway/Metro/LRT Project.


Key Project Tasks and activities
------------------------------------


• Implementation of all the specified network level Safety and RAM requirements.
• Review and revision of the RAM and Safety requirement allocation carried out by the Employer during preliminary engineering stage of the project.
• perform appropriate RAM and Safety verification and validation activities of the above-mentioned network level requirements.
• be responsible for the overall management of the Hazard Log database.
• coordinate with other contractors for implementation of the RAM and Safety management process to ensure a consistent approach across the Project.
• be responsible for the overall integration and management of the RAM and Safety Management activities requiring integration at network level.
• liaise and coordinate with the rest of the Project contractors to ensure integration of the rest of the contractors' RAM and Safety Management Processes with the centralised RAM and Safety Management Functions managed by the Railway Integration and Systems Contractor.
• be responsible for carrying out all the network level Safety verification, testing and acceptance activities.
• be responsible for carrying out all the network level software Safety management activities to meet the requirements of technical specifications specific to systems associated with software.
• Coordinate the production of Safety Cases by each Contractor/Supplier. Conduct Safety Revies and Safety Audits according to the specified program.
• Be responsible to interface with the ISA and the Safety Regulation Authorities in order to achieve the required approvals.
• Coordinate the input of technical teams, eventually from external suppliers.
• Maintain clients' relations about technical and operational aspects.
• Create and update methodologies.


Other responsibilities


• Integrate in a seamlessly manner with the other member of RINA System Engineering Team.
• Coordination and guidance of the members of the RAMS Team operation from other RINA Office Locations, in particular with the RINA India Office and RINA Turkiye Office.
• Follow instructions and procedures coming from RINA Headquarters in terms of HSE, Compliance, Human Resources requirements.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General Qualifications
------------------


• Minimum 20 years' experience in the Railways/Metro/LRT technical domain.
• Minimum 15 years experience as Railway System Engineering Manager, Railway RAM Manager, Railway Safety Manager.
• Having covered one of the above positions in a Railway/Metro/LRT Projects during the whole duration of the Project Implementation or at least for minimum 2 years consecutively.
• Relevant university level qualifications degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronical Engineering.
• Excellent experience in using specific RAM and Safety Software especially for the management of the Hazard Log. Experience in using IBM ComplyPro is essential.
• Excellent English written communication skills including writing and editing - ability to easily communicate the required ideas or concept and tailor responses to client specifications.
• Having experience in the GCC Countries is a plus. In any case an international experience (i.e. outside her/his home country) is mandatory.
• Arabic language is a plus.
