With its new services, SYSTRA supports its clients and partners in their digital, ecological and energy transition, in order to invent the mobility of tomorrow.MISSIONS:As Rail Operations Engineer, reporting to Project/Department Manager, responsibilities involve conducting in-depth analyses, generating valuable insights, and collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality rail operations solutions and support business growth.Key Responsibilities:
Perform train simulations and produce rail capacity studies (for passenger High-speed, metro, light-rail or, freight line).
Support to prepare operations studies or reports according to the project requirements such as network diagram, rail line capacity, train schedules & timetables, train fleet, operation plan, operating cost)
Support to develop the operational requirement and functionalities to design the transportation system in order to meet operational and performance requirements.
Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals for operations studies.
Contribute to data capitalization and knowledge sharing within the business unit.
PROFILE:
Master in transportation will be preferable.
Minimum 5 years of experience in train simulation/operations studies will be preferable.
Capable of using rail simulation tools such as Railsys / OpenTrack / Viriato (knowledge of at least one of these programs, interested and capable to learn how to use the others) will be preferable.
Handily in using Microsoft office software in particular Excel.
Fluent in ENGLISH.
Proficiency in FRENCH or SPANISH would be a plus.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
