Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read civil drawings, take-off door quantities, prepare ironmongery schedules, estimates, and quotations
• Assist and support your Seniors with regard to Project data, Customer data, Salesman and Estimators data, and other related requirements while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Scanning and making copies of important documents and filing them in a professional and systematic manner.
• Executing and maintaining office systems. File and retrieve documents, records and reports.
• Liaising with the Company's customers and staff regarding official matters.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
• Managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.
• Preparing BOQ (bill of quantities) by studying specification sheets from the sales team.
• Preparing interim and final valuations, variations and claims of the construction site.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering discipline or similar
• 5-6 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimating from Construction (villas/buildings) industry in UAE.
• Experience in warehouses projects will be preferred.
• Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques.
• Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.
• Experience working with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office as well as PlanSwift and validating quantities from the given drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying and estimating.
• Familiarity with contract law and construction contracts.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure.
