Quantity Surveyor Residential Projects

Job Description

We are seeking an immediate joiner to be part of our Quantity Surveyor team. The ideal candidate must have 6-9 years of experience, exclusively in the UAE, and must have handled residential projects.



Client and Team Liaison:



Collaborate with clients, Project Quantity Surveyors (PQS), and internal teams to agree on monthly measurements, final measurements, and variation costings.

Site Inspections and Progress Monitoring:



Perform regular site inspections to review project progress, identify potential variations, and ensure that work aligns with contract specifications. Communicate daily with the Operations Team on-site to stay informed of the work programme and site progress.

Re-Measuring and Claims:



Re-measure works as required to reflect accurate project progress. Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Variations and New Rates:



Measure and value variations and new rates, ensuring that all changes are documented and agreed upon with relevant stakeholders.

Sub-Contractor Management:



Issue Sub-Contractor packages for pricing and evaluate submissions before placing orders. Generate documentation for Sub-Contractor payments, contra charges, and final account settlements.

Cost Monitoring and Reporting:



Monitor project costs, including labour, materials, plant, and formwork, to ensure they remain within the allowable budgets. Identify and report any cost anomalies or variances to management. Prepare and submit monthly cost reports, including detailed reconciliations of project costs against budgets.

Team Leadership and Mentoring:



Delegate tasks to Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyors where appropriate, ensuring workloads are managed efficiently. Review and monitor the work delivered by Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyors to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Provide mentorship and motivation to team members to promote professional growth and development.

Skills and Competencies:



Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in relevant software tools for quantity surveying and cost reporting. Leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide junior staff.

Qualifications:



A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Team Management Post Contract Experience Reporting System - Cash Flow & Profit & Loss Report
