A leading real estate developer company in the UAE is looking for a Quantity Surveyor.
An experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on pre-contract procurement and purchase. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost planning, tendering, contract negotiation, and procurement & purchase strategy development from a developer's perspective. This role is critical to ensuring the financial viability and success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Contract Procurement:
? Lead the preparation of tender documents, including BOQ, specifications, and schedules of works.
? Develop and implement procurement & purchase strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
? Conduct detailed cost analysis and benchmarking for various projects.
? Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers through a competitive tendering process.
? Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing with contractors and suppliers.
2. Cost Planning and Management:
? Prepare detailed cost plans and budgets for proposed developments.
? Monitor and control project costs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
? Provide accurate cost forecasting and reporting to senior management.
3. Risk Management:
? Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
? Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions to minimize financial risks.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
? Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement activities with project goals.
? Maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
? Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, including contracts, tender documents, and cost reports.
? Present cost and procurement reports to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering degree (Civil, Elec , Mech), Master degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
? Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferred.
? Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on pre-contract procurement.
? Proven track record of managing procurement activities for large-scale development projects.
? Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques.
? Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,500.00 per month

License/Certification:
