As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. :As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and procurement for our development and construction projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. Your role will involve conducting cost analysis, preparing estimates and budgets, and monitoring project costs throughout the construction process.Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Manager-QS and assist in reviewing Engineers estimates, cash flow estimates, and revised estimates during project execution.
Support in reviewing tender and contract documents as directed.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data for progress evaluation.
Verify the Engineer's recommendation of payment certificate for the Contractors monthly progress and coordinate and resolve with the Engineer for any discrepancies found in the certificate.
Have a complete understanding of the Companys change management procedure and provide support in the review of change proposals and variation orders submitted by the Engineer/Contractors.
Prepare internal payment certificates for management approval after ensuring all the backup documents are included in the recommendation.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations on cost-saving measures.
Monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns.
Review and approve consultants/contractors payments and variations.
Maintain accurate records of all project costs and variations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Communicate with project team members, clients, and stakeholders to resolve any cost-related issues.
Provide regular reports on project costs and progress to senior management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to construction projects is preferred.
