Job Description

Job Summary:



The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs related to fit-out projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The role includes cost estimation, contract management, procurement, and financial reporting for restaurant and office fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:Cost Estimation & Budgeting:



Prepare cost estimates and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on project drawings and specifications. Analyze material, labor, and subcontractor costs to prepare accurate project budgets. Provide cost-saving solutions and value engineering recommendations.

Tendering & Contracts Management:



Prepare and evaluate tender documents, contracts, and purchase agreements. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing. Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with legal and financial terms.

Cost Control & Reporting:



Monitor project costs and track budget deviations. Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost analyses. Assist in the preparation of progress payment claims and variation orders.

Site Coordination & Procurement:



Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams for material orders. Ensure cost control measures are in place and approve expenditures as per project budget. Verify invoices and process payments for subcontractors and suppliers.

Risk Management & Compliance:



Identify potential cost risks and provide solutions to mitigate financial exposure. Ensure compliance with local regulations, contract terms, and company policies. Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.

Requirements:



Education:



Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:



2 years of experience in quantity surveying for fit-out projects, specifically in restaurants and office spaces. Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) cost estimation is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:



Proficiency in cost estimation software such as CCS, CostX, AutoCAD, and MS Excel. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Excellent understanding of fit-out materials, labor costs, and procurement strategies. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
