JOB TITLE: Quantity Surveyor
JOB LOCATION: Abu Dhabi
• 4+ Years Experience in UAE as Quantity Surveyor in Infrastructure Projects is Must
• ADNOC Projects/Oil & Gas projects is must
• Cable laying (fiber optic & electrical), ducting and pipe laying , general excavation and earth works Experience is Required
Responsibilities
? Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and relevant documents in coordination with the Planning Engineer.
? Conduct feasibility studies to assess the financial viability of potential projects.
? Develop and monitor project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
? Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ), specifications, and conditions of contract.
? Evaluate tenders and proposals submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
? Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
? Conduct thorough reviews of tender documents upon receipt to understand project requirements.
? Obtain managerial approval prior to tender submission.
? Ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders.
? Administer contracts and manage contractual relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
? Evaluate and process variations (change orders) to the contract.
? Monitor and report on project costs and variations against the approved budget.
? Transition seamlessly to the post-contract stage upon successful project award.
? Monitor and control project costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.
? Track and report on expenditure and financial forecasts.
? Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering options.
? Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to cost, contract, and procurement.
? Advise on insurance requirements and claims management.
? Measure and value the work done on-site, including preparing interim and final valuations.
? Manage payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
? Prepare and submit claims for variations and additional work.
? Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quantities, costs, payments, and variations.
? Prepare regular reports on project financial status, including cost reports and cash flow projections.
? Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards.
? Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting quantity surveying.
? Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders on matters related to cost and contracts.
? Provide professional advice and recommendations to clients on cost-related matters.
? Assist in resolving disputes, claims, and contractual issues that may arise during the project.
? Supervise the preparation and timely submission of monthly payment requests in accordance with project milestones.
? Diligently follow up on payments to ensure they are processed and received within stipulated timeframes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in UAE
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
