### Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) **Location:** Ras Al Khaimah **Experience Required:** Minimum 10+ years in infrastructure projects (roads, sewage, storm water, and utilities) ** :** We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) with over 10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, specifically in roads, sewage, storm water, and utilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role is crucial to ensure that the projects are completed within budget and in compliance with contractual agreements. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Cost Estimation and Budgeting:** - Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for infrastructure projects. - Monitor project expenditures and ensure they remain within the approved budget. - Provide cost advice and financial forecasting to project stakeholders. - **Contract Management:** - Prepare and review contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met. - Administer contractual obligations and handle variations and claims. - Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement. - **Measurement and Valuation:** - Measure and value the work done on-site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. - Prepare bills of quantities and schedules of work. - Conduct site visits to assess and value completed work and materials on-site. - **Financial Reporting:** - Prepare regular financial reports, including cost plans, valuations, and forecasts. - Track project costs against the budget and highlight any variances. - Provide financial status updates to project managers and senior management. - **Risk Management:** - Identify and assess potential risks related to project costs and contracts. - Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to manage and minimize financial risks. - **Dispute Resolution:** - Handle any contractual disputes and claims that arise during the project lifecycle. - Provide expert advice on dispute resolution and claims management. - **Compliance and Quality Assurance:** - Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications. - Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship and materials. **Qualifications and Skills:** - Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying within infrastructure projects (roads, sewage, storm water, and utilities). - Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control methods. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Professional membership with a recognized quantity surveying institution (e.g., RICS). - Experience working in the Ras Al Khaimah region or similar environments. - Immediate joiners will be given preference. **Application Process:** Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV, along with a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and qualifications, to career.
