Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor specializing in fit-out, modular, and interior projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning for interior and modular fit-out projects. This role requires expertise in quantity surveying practices, a deep understanding of interior construction methodologies, and strong project management skills.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

• Prepare detailed bills of quantities, material take-offs, and cost estimates for interior, fit-out, and modular construction projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and design teams to ensure accurate costing and budget planning.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project specifications.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and ensure alignment with cost estimates and contracts.
• Evaluate and process change orders, variations, and claims in coordination with the project team.
• Provide input for value engineering and cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and design intent.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, material prices, and construction technologies to enhance project efficiency and cost management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in fit-out, modular, or interior projects.
• Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of interior design processes, materials, and modular construction methods.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with contract management, procurement practices, and relevant legal standards.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
