Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating the quantity of materials required for various projects, specifically for flooring and kitchen tops, by interpreting and analyzing civil AutoCAD drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Civil AutoCAD Drawings: Analyze and interpret detailed civil drawings for flooring, kitchen tops, and other marble applications to accurately determine material quantities.
• Material Quantity Estimation: Calculate the quantity of artificial marble required based on the project specifications.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for the required materials, labor, and other associated costs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and proper alignment with project requirements.
• Site Assessment: Conduct site visits if necessary to verify measurements and ensure accuracy of estimates.
• Tender and Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing tender submissions and proposals by providing material and cost estimations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, drawings, and other project-related documents.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree /Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimating, preferably in the marble/Tile/Flooring Industry or construction industry.
• Skills:
• Proficient in reading and interpreting civil AutoCAD drawings.
• Strong knowledge of materials and construction techniques, particularly for flooring and kitchen countertops.
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Desirable: Previous experience in the marble or related industry is an advantage.
