•Job Summary: •

The •Quantity Surveyor / Interior Fit-out Estimator • is responsible for managing all costs related to interior fit-out projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. This role involves preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, and ensuring that the project is completed within the financial constraints. The position requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

•Cost Estimation: •

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs).
• Analyze and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

•Budget Management: •

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and kept within agreed limits.
• Monitor and track project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate tenders, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing materials and negotiating prices.

•Contract Administration: •

• Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Manage change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring that they are accurately costed and documented.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met.
• Provide regular updates on cost status and financial performance to project stakeholders.

•Risk Management: •

• Identify and assess potential risks related to cost, time, and quality.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure they are implemented effectively.

•Reporting: •

• Prepare regular reports on project cost performance, including forecasts, cash flows, and financial summaries.
• Provide financial advice and recommendations to support decision-making.

•Compliance: •

• Ensure that all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

•Qualifications: •

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
