Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Develop initial project budgets and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze design proposals to recommend the most cost-efficient solutions.
Tendering and Procurement:
Assist in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and contract conditions.
Review contractor bids, providing recommendations for contract awards.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
Cost Control and Monitoring:
Monitor financial progress and maintain cost control across the project.
Analyze cost reports to ensure budget alignment and identify cost variances.
Propose solutions to avoid budget overruns and manage cost variation reports.
Valuation and Payments:
Conduct site visits to assess progress and certify contractor payments.
Manage interim valuations and final accounts for contractors and suppliers.
Ensure timely payments to contractors based on completed work.
Risk Management:
Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Provide guidance on contract disputes, aiming for cost-effective resolutions.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure financial aspects comply with legal and contractual requirements.
Maintain accurate records of cost-related documentation.
Provide regular financial updates to the project team and stakeholders.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers for cost and resource alignment.
Keep the client informed about the projects financial status.
Required Skills:
In-depth understanding of construction techniques, materials, and standards.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, Primavera, CostX).
Knowledge of construction contracts, standards, and regulations.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., RICS) are a plus.
Experience in construction project management or a similar role.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based, with regular site visits.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in creating BOQ for interior fit-out work for Civil and MEP is required
