Quantity Surveyor is required to join a consultancy business to work on high-rise luxury branded residence in Dubai.This role is suitable for Quantity Surveyor candidates with experience in the Middle East Region. Applications from candidates with experience working on high-rise buildings are highly welcome.Suitable candidate should have a Quantity Surveying degree from a recognised University or Corporate Membership of an internationally recognised Quantity Surveying institution.Project DetailsThis is a post-contract role, working with a main contractor on-site. The project is a 2-tower high-rise building, which is a luxury branded residence worth 490mil UAE. It is a 24-month project concluding in February next year.Their client for this project is a leading real estate developer in Dubai.Due to the nature of the role previous experience in the Middle East is required.The working week is Monday to Friday 48 hours a week.Responsibilities and Duties
Interim payment applications in accordance with the terms of the contract and actual work progress.
Project Cash flow and periodic assessments of anticipated final cost and reporting.
Preparing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports, to monitor Budget Cost
Prepare & Compile Final Accounts Payment applications
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Attendance and representation at commercial meetings
Control project scope to meet project objectives to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project
Desired Skills and Experience
7 years of relevant Quantity Surveyor experience either from consultancy or main contractor background
Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the Middle East region, 3 years minimum
5 years of experience working on high-rise projects would be ideal
Knowledge of pre- and post-contract administration.
Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
Candidates must have strong client-facing skills
Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
Strong communication skills as well as excellent verbal and written English
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
A BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university is essential.
Corporate Membership of an internationally recognised Quantity Surveying institution
