The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Ajman, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering or construction management, with a focus on road projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide accurate estimates, manage contracts, and oversee financial aspects of the projects. Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze project cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports. - Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of projects, including cost analysis and risk assessment. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to establish project timelines, scopes, and specifications. - Manage contracts and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. - Monitor project progress and prepare regular cost reports, highlighting any variances and recommending corrective actions. - Provide advice on financial aspects of projects, including value engineering and cost control techniques. - Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids from contractors and suppliers. - Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise. - Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of work, ensuring adherence to project specifications. - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technology to enhance cost management practices.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, specifically with road projects. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations related to quantity surveying. - Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, AutoCAD, or similar applications. - Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. - Professional accreditation or membership in a relevant organization (e.g., RICS) is preferred. - Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
