: Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the UAE, preferably within contracting companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracting companies, with specialized experience in infrastructure and networks of water supply and sewage systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Management:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
- Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasts.
- Monitor project costs and variations, ensuring costs are controlled.
2. Tendering and Contracts:
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with contract terms.
3. Valuations and Payments:
- Prepare and manage progress valuations and final accounts.
- Ensure timely processing of payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assess and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
4. Risk Management:
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure adherence to project timelines.
5. Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among all project participants.
- Monitor project progress and report to senior management.
6. Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure all work complies with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
#### Skills and Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is highly desirable.
2. Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably within contracting companies.
- Proven track record of successfully managing costs and contracts on large-scale construction projects.
3. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Strong understanding of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials.
4. Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to analyze complex data and provide accurate financial reports.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
6. Attention to Detail:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
7. Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
#### Additional Requirements:
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
