Purpose: The QS will be required to evaluate the accuracy of the tendered priced BoQs and their adequacy to accommodate potential changes in the base design and to inform the clarification process with bidders. It is intended that the base design will be tendered on a lump sum basis with any required changes in design being addressed by the BoQ model to facilitate either re measurement conversion to lump sum once the design for each WHT is sufficiently matured. The QS will use Questor software tool to develop the BoQ / cost model, for which training will be provided. : Required proficiency in advanced software estimating tools price/forecast the cost of the materials required for change in as-tendered base design to final design per specific site requirements prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly Support the evaluation of services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project measure and value the work to be done at fabrication site liaise client stakeholders and other construction professionals, such as engineering managers, project managers and engineers Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders Traveling from the office to various sites as may be required
Qualification and experience required: BSC in Quantity Surveying Chartered status from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) either an undergraduate degree accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related construction subject or a postgraduate conversion course (usually a Pg Dip or a masters) accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Experience in offshore construction and fabrication
