The cultural and geographic diversity of the Emirates presents considerable challenge as does the need to understand all the core business areas of Nejoum Al Jazeera (NAJ) and achieve some results through influence and persuasion rather than direct action or supervision/management.
Each department contains its own very distinct set of business issues, cultural norms and working environment as well as ownership arrangement, often making the implementation of one standard solution inappropriate or ineffective.
This role is challenged with analysing performance opportunities or problems and implementing solutions as well as generally ensuring that the organisation is quality focussed and using the ISO registration and quality systems and tools to best effect.
Overall Role Duties are:
To maintain and enhance quality and environmental objectives through regular auditing of the ISO systems and facilitate business improvement projects, whilst ensuring that the ISO registration system is maintained for the company.
Duties and responsibilities:
Conduct and arrange an auditing programme within the ISO system for each department to ensure compliance and implementation of ISO practices and procedures.
Monitor and analyse performance statistics and investigate root cause of service failures, recommending improvements as appropriate to drive continuous service improvement.
Analyse processes to ensure the removal of non-value added process steps and processes and identify key areas of the business where process initiatives can enhance quality and performance. Recommend and facilitate projects for improvement.
Benchmark processes externally and internally as appropriate to ensure that NAJ also strives towards achieving best practices.
Organize and monitor the effectiveness of training in quality, improvement initiatives and quality / business improvement tools to identify areas that can be further enhanced/improved.
Provide internal auditing of systems and procedures including the required audits to ensure that we comply with network standards and procedures.
Monitor ISO compliance at all locations within the UAE to ensure that we continually maintain the ISO registration.
Facilitate, support and promote change and improvement initiatives within all countries and departments.
Suggest and undertake business improvement projects contributing to the reduction in bottom line costs or an improvement in service levels.
Manage and drive the 'I Suggest' scheme to ensure that staff are constantly aware and are continuously motivated to look for areas of improvement thereby resulting in increased productivity, cost saving, work environment enhancement, information security and customer service and delight.
Manage the TQM programme and ensure that the program trainees is constantly guided, trained and measured on targets and initiatives taken in driving quality in their locations to promote and focus on the overall objective of quality for NAJ.
The Role Challanges:
The job holder has to train and put in place an effective ISO process and ensure that NAJ drives Quality through all functions. The role also requires to direct the UAE to be compliant in all audits / reviews and put the company at the forefront of external audits consistently.
