Management of all aspects of quality across assigned business areas, etc. including the supervision of assigned quality resources
Promote the awareness of quality management principles (including quality and MS inductions) and provide advice and guidance to peers and colleagues
Effective quality planning to ensure quality budgets are established, the function is resourced and defined quality deliverables are produced in line with agreed timeframes
Resourcing of quality professionals with the appropriate quality experience and competencies
Ensuring direct reports are assessed as being competent for their allocated roles and coaches, mentors and supports the ongoing development of these resources
Understands and identifies emerging stakeholder requirements and establishes plans to address these
Ensures requirements of the Wood quality policy, quality standard and agreed objectives are communicated and complied with across the Business unit/grouping
Implementation of quality management system requirements, ensuring compliance with client requirements and/or ISO 9001 requirements
Provide support to the generation of proposals and tenders in relation to quality elements
Quality representative and interface with top management on all quality related matters
Engages client quality representatives on a regular basis and acts expediently on both positive and negative client feedback
Oversight, governance and implementation of all applicable quality related tools and applications
Ensures that sufficient quality processes are deployed to manage product and service delivery
Management of audit and assurance programmes for their designated business area
Effective supply chain quality management is implemented including vendor capability assessments, performance monitoring and failure investigations
Management, reporting and analysis of data arising from non-conformance, corrective actions and other key quality indicators
Manages quality management system reviews and their outputs
Works across functions to identify continuous improvement and sharing of good practice
Undertakes investigations of quality related failures
Actively participates in the wider quality network both offering and taking on good practices
Qualifications:Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma or local equivalent in quality management or related discipline (essential)
Lead Auditor qualification by recognized industry body (essential)
Membership of CQI/ASQ or country specific (desirable)
Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques (essential)
Knowledge, skills and experience:
10 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the associated industry)
Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 19011 and Wood auditing protocols
Proficient in the analysis of processes and data
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
Proficient in the use of continual improvement tools and techniques
