Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Lab In-Charge to manage the Quality Assurance Laboratory in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will oversee all lab testing activities, ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards, manage lab personnel, and support continuous improvement in quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily laboratory operations and ensure compliance with food safety regulations (BRC, FSSC, HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.). Plan, schedule, and supervise routine and non-routine product testing (raw materials, in-process, finished goods, and packaging). Review and validate test results, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions. Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and testing protocols. Ensure calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment. Coordinate with production, procurement, and R&D teams for quality-related matters. Train and develop lab staff to maintain high standards of quality and safety. Maintain accurate documentation, including test reports, quality logs, and certificates of analysis (CoAs). Monitor trends in quality metrics and initiate root cause analysis for non-conformities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Master's degree in microbiology. 5-7 years of experience in a food manufacturing QA lab, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of food safety systems (BRC, FSSC, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP). Hands-on experience with analytical instruments like PCR. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and familiar with LIMS or other QA data systems.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,500.00 per month
