Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role.

Responsible and trustworthy
Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
Working knowledge of MS Office and other relevant systems.
Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
BSc degree in Food Science OR Agriculture field
Role & Responsibility of the resource:
Assist in inspecting the quality of the products received from farmers according to food safety manual and international standards. This includes examining products in terms of weight and size, and monitoring maturity, color and shape.
Ensure that the quality of products received is in accordance with contract specifications, standards and regulations.
Maintain proper documentation and record the inspection results accordingly.
Record performance results and report quality issues as needed by identifying non-conforming products and preparing reports accordingly.
Monitor the packaging process and ensure that products packed are in compliance with quality specifications and regulations.
Assist in conducting food safety tests to determine products quality and ensure they are safe for consumption.
Document results of the inspection process and prepare detailed reports and performance records.
Ensure that hygiene standards within facilities are maintained at all times.
Inspect the storage arrangements for fresh products and ensure proper maintenance in terms of infestation, quality deterioration or other factors that might affect safety or suitability for sale at the collection centres, packhouses and distribution Centre.
Control the transportation and loading of fresh products to ensure product integrity and traceability and prevent waste.
Participate in farm visits and assist in conducting training sessions to facilitate better understanding of required standards.
Assist in delivering quality capability building training to extension engineers in collaboration with ADAFSA.
Audit quality control programs to check for inspection and testing of equipment at the collection centres, packhouses and distribution centre.
Assist in auditing production processes and report findings for process improvement.
Assist in analyzing data of the quality information recorded and resolve top quality issues when required.
Assist in conducting internal quality audits and other related activities to maintain or improve quality practices.
Perform other duties as required by upper management.
