Responsibilities: Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of gaming software across multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile) to identify bugs, defects, and gameplay inconsistencies. Execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts according to project requirements and testing plans.Bug Identification and Reporting: Document and report issues discovered during testing using designated bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Clearly communicate bugs, glitches, and other anomalies to development teams, providing detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and screenshots/videos as needed.Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure that resolved issues do not reappear in subsequent builds or releases. Collaborate with developers to validate and verify code changes, patches, and updates before deployment.Compatibility Testing: Test gaming software on various hardware configurations, operating systems, devices, and screen resolutions to ensure compatibility and optimal performance across different platforms and environments.Functional and User Experience Testing: Evaluate game mechanics, controls, interfaces, and overall gameplay experience to identify usability issues, design flaws, and areas for improvement. Provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing user experience and gameplay enjoyment.Documentation and Feedback: Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test matrices, and test reports. Provide clear and concise feedback to development teams, producers, and other stakeholders regarding testing results, quality metrics, and risk assessments.Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, artists, producers, and QA leads, to prioritize testing tasks, address critical issues, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality gaming products. Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and post-mortems to share insights and lessons learned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in quality assurance/testing, preferably in the gaming industry.Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.Familiarity with testing tools and techniques for manual testing, bug tracking, and test case management.Proficiency in using bug tracking systems such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a passion for identifying and solving problems.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics, genres, and player expectations.
