JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for ensuring that all franchised outlets of ADNOC Distribution comply with the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety. Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and food safety policies, procedures, and systems, and provide training and guidance to the staff. Conduct regular audits and inspections of franchised outlets, and report on their performance and compliance.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Audits and Inspections
Conduct regular audits and inspections of franchised outlets, and evaluate their quality, hygiene, and food safety performance and compliance.
Prepare and submit audit and inspection reports and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Develop a SMART corrective action plan for each audit conducted and ensure all non- conformances highlighted in the audit report have been appropriately addressed.
In case of critical health & safety violations, perform a follow up visit to ensure that necessary corrective actions have been taken at the earliest.
Consolidate and analyze audit scores to ensure continual improvement and prevent recurrence of non- conformances.
Regularly conduct supplier audits to ensure that the supplier meets the organizations quality standards.
Quality Control
Monitor and enforce proper food handling, storage, and preparation practices.
Perform routine checks on ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Identify areas for process improvement and work with the operations team to implement changes.
Provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and quality in food preparation and service.
Identify and investigate quality and food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities, and recommend appropriate solutions and improvements
Resolve and respond to any quality or safety issue identified by customers or internal operations team.
Provide technical support during New Product Development to ensure that the new product is launched with consistent quality and safety.
Training and Compliance
Provide training and coaching to the staff on quality assurance and food safety requirements, processes, and tools.
Obtain certification and ensure annual renewal for all Food Safety and Compliance training provided by the different Food Safety Compliance Authorities in each Emirate.
Attending all Food Safety Workshops run by individual Emirates Food Safety Authorities.
Conduct mandatory food safety training for franchised outlets such as Basic Food Safety Training, PIC (Dubai), GHP Trainings (Sharjah), EFST (Abu Dhabi).
Develop and deliver customized training programs on food safety practices and compliance, such as HACCP trainings, Allergen awareness.
Keep abreast of the latest trends, developments, and regulations in quality assurance and food safety, and ensure that franchised outlets are updated and compliant.
Manage and maintain quality assurance and food safety records, documents, and databases including that of approved suppliers, product specifications and other relevant reports.
Develop and update quality assurance and food safety manuals, guidelines, and checklists for franchised outlets, in line with ADNOC Distribution's standards and best practices.
Brand Operational Training and Certification in order to monitor Brand Standards.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related fields.
8 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety management, preferably in the food and beverage or retail industry.
Certified in HACCP, ISO 22000, or other relevant quality and food safety standards.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance and food safety principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality and food safety software and tools.
