:Role: Officer - Quality Assurance & Controls
Location: JAFZA DubaiRole Purpose:Associate will be responsible for monitoring quality of delivery and implementation of controls towards the identified risks in the process. Associate will review the process, policy and procedures for change in risk and controls in line with the updates in process and systems resulting from regulatory, statutory and strategic changes.Associate will serve as the vital link between business, operations, and information technology, by handling change management, process reengineering and automation of controls. Associate will manage transitional projects in line with organizational and project goals.Tasks of this role will also include performing detailed Critical requirements analysis, review of existing operational procedures, evaluation of operational risk, controls & KRI and building effective reporting structures.Key Accountabilities of the role
  • Review operational policies, procedures, SLAs and existing risks, controls & KRI in line with changes to the processes.
  • Identify inherent risks, recommend controls for mitigation and evaluate residual risk.
  • Track submission of KRI, control testing, risk assessment and operational incident reporting.
  • Track update / revision of SOP and SLA of the unit.
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of changes in the process.
  • Managing strategic projects and regulatory change management, defining project scope and design project plans.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements and form project team.
  • Drive identification of requirements across business units and identify systems / processes requiring enhancements through evaluation of real-time data.
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements; identifying areas for process improvement / reengineering and assist in developing & implementing solutions.
  • Review of Business Requirement Document and assessment of feasibility with technology. Build use case and support with documentation of functional specifications.
  • Define reporting and alerting requirements.
  • Coordinating digitalization of control / QC and MIS in unit.
  • Assist in designing process flowcharts and workflow diagrams.
  • Support in planning, user acceptance testing and implementation of projects
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
  • In depth knowledge of the end-to-end process in payments domain, ops risk management and project management.
  • Satisfactory technical knowledge of business applications, payment engine and Swift.
  • Overview of other banking functions/depts is an added advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio.
  • People & project management skills.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
