QS/Estimator (Junior/Senior)

Company Overview:

We are a reputable landscaping company specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of high-quality landscape projects. Our portfolio includes a variety of residential, commercial, and public space developments. We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented QS/Estimator (Junior/Senior) to join our team and help ensure the success of our projects through accurate cost estimation and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for landscaping projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities specific to landscape works (e.g., softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems).
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure accurate project specifications.
• Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with budgeted amounts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in tender preparation, review of contractor bids, and negotiation of contracts.
• Provide ongoing cost analysis and reporting on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with local landscaping and construction regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimation, preferably within the landscaping or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of landscaping materials, equipment, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in landscaping or outdoor project estimation (softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems, etc.).
• Knowledge of local landscaping regulations and industry standards.
• Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are a plus.
