Job Description

We are searching for a mid-level Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor with an good knowledge of the world of construction, architecture and interior design. The candidate will be part of our Project Management department and will work with our lead architects and project manager in the different project's stages.

Typical duties and responsibilities

Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures, identifying and addressing any issues that could lead to budget overruns.

Review and approve invoices and claims from suppliers and contractors, ensuring all charges are accurate and justified.

Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Preparation and analysis of cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.

Identifying gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure.

Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.

Education and experience

Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry with Engineering and Architectural Consultants.

Demonstrated history of projects follow as Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Required skills and qualifications.

Sound knowledge of construction (architecture and interior) industry practices, regulations, standards and costs.

Well versed in FIDIC.

Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques.

Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.

Understanding general contracting, design-build, package contracting, value-based project and loading margins and lumpsum in residential projects.

Experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from the given drawings.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying.

Detail-oriented & highly organized

Ability to work independently and under pressure, organize, and prioritize responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
